Students at Merryhill Elementary School in Roseville Presented Donation to Local Nonprofit
Students visited Placer Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to deliver a $550 donation

On Oct. 27, students from Merryhill Elementary School in Roseville donated $550 to Placer Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). The donation was a result of the school’s “Change for Change” drive, in which classrooms competed against one another to collect the most change. The classroom that collected the most change, the school’s first grade class, held the honor of sending the full donation to the charity of their choice.
The Placer SPCA is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to facilitating the humane treatment of animals in Placer County, as well as a safer, healthier community overall. The Placer SPCA is funded solely by donations, grants, bequests and fees for service.
