Here are the top five stories in Roseville today:

  1. The Taylor House is celebrating 10 years of helping women aging out of foster care. They have transformed hundreds of lives in their bright yellow home in Roseville. The Taylor House helps these young women build life skills and set a foundation to springboard into the rest of their lives through helping them with health, transportation, continuing education and job seeking skills and so much more. Thank you, Taylor House, for 10 years of empowering young women in Roseville! (ABC10.com KXTV)
  2. The 105 Noshery in Roseville closed last week and was supposed to reopen Wednesday, but that was delayed two more days, another victim of the omicron surge. Lisa Peters, owner of 105 Noshery said that while employees are eager to go back, "We really feel strongly that we have to make sure that everyone's safe, so we're hoping for Friday." A few doors down the same block, general manager of The Monk's Cellar and Public House, Kelly Long said it closed last week for the same reason. Other restaurants like Mikuni Sushi and Chando's Tacos are currently offering only to-go services, so check with your restaurant before you leave, so you won't be disappointed when you get there! (KCRA3)
  3. Some new businesses are coming to the Westfield Galleria mall in Roseville this year. Zales, Gucci and Round1 Entertainment are set to open this spring. Zales will be opening in February with Gucci and Round1 set to open in April. I'm totally hitting Round1! It sounds like a blast, with bowling, karaoke rooms, an arcade and a bar. Maybe I'll wear my new Gucci sunglasses for a round of bowling. (ABC10.com KXTV)
  4. Folsom City Council on Tuesday denied appeal opposition to the proposed Barley Barn Tap House on Historic Sutter Street. That means the project will go forward. Powerhouse Pub owner Murray Weaver plans a beer-only tap house for the 4,377-square-foot building at 608 1/2 Sutter St. The Tap House plans to serve craft beers and food provided by off-site local vendors. Live entertainment is proposed on a limited basis in the building’s interior. (Gold Country Media)
  5. The Loomis Town Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to spend $1.6 million in federal relief money on fixing storm drains in town. Since December storms, more Loomis sinkholes have erupted from local flooding and storm drain failure. "Some of the storm issues are an imminent threat," said Councilman Brian Baker. "These are some serious things that need to be taken care of. It's time to start chipping away at these major things." (Gold Country Media)
