The house, located in an open space area on the 10000 block of Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard, is near a bike trail at Quails Nest Street.
The fire was reported at 2:52 p.m.
The teenagers, were arrested on suspicion of recklessly causing a fire in a structure, and later released to their parents, Gunther said.
Placer County District attorney and probation department officials are expected to follow-up on the case and determine if or what charges will be filed, she said.
The police department's community services staff will likely follow up with the parents and offer appropriate referrals.
“In this case, Roseville Junior Firesetter Program could be a likely part of their consequences,” Gunther explained.
