According to Roseville Today, they include wide open spaces, beautiful weather and location, location, location - between San Francisco and the Sierra Nevadas. Somehow, my Patch newsletter didn't make the list, though. Go figure. Whether you agree with their top seven or not, you and I can both agree with them that Roseville is an awesome place to live! (Roseville Today)
- Moksa Barrel House, an additional site for locally owned Moksa Brewing Co. in Rocklin, is set to open at the end of next month. It has filled all of its open positions and has announced that it is ready to go. The site, at 10007 Foothills Blvd. in Roseville, will include a restaurant, coffee bar and beer bar. Can't wait! - Senior Softball-USA (SSUSA) Western National Championships are coming to Lincoln and Roseville. There are 10 different divisions competing between the men and women’s brackets 40 years and up. You can attend for free! Games will be played between July 31 and August 5. Teams are looking to earn their spot at the World Masters Championship in Las Vegas later this year. (Roseville Today)
- Are you and your kids looking for places to cool off this very HOT summer? South Placer has tons of places for you! You can hit the usual Roseville aquatic center or Mike Shellito Indoor Swimming Pool, but you can also venture out. McBean Pool in Lincoln hosts “Family Swim Nights” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays through Aug. 29, and there are some great spray parks from Rocklin to Loomis. See a list of all of the South Placer "wet zones" in this article from Gold Country Media. (Gold Country Media)
