If you listen to some gloomy types, you might think the current real estate market in our area is in free fall. Not exactly.
- 25% of sales last month were above the original listing price
- 43% sales in August had more than one offer
- Despite longer sales cycles, inventory is actually down
- The median sale price is down 7% from near-historic highs
Whether buying, selling or investing, in a changing market you need a Realtor with enough local knowledge to turn data into insights that create value for you.

Here are the top stories today in Roseville:
- A man has died from a "medical issue" he suffered after being pulled over by Roseville Police on September 28. Police say they pulled the man over at around 2:00 p.m. on Vista Grand Boulevard after his car and license plate matched a report of stolen auto parts. After being placed in the backseat of the patrol car the man suffered a "medical incident" and an ambulance was called. The man later died at the hospital. The medical examiner is conducting follow-up tests and has not ruled as to the cause of death. (KTXL FOX 40 Sacramento)
- Raiders legend Fred Biletnikoff and his wife Angela, representing the Biletnikoff Foundation, will be at Tracey's Place of Hope in Loomis on Friday for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the final renovations on the facility. Tracey's Place of Hope welcomes young girls who have dealt with drug addictions or who have been subjected to domestic abuse or human trafficking. (Roseville Today)

They celebrated their anniversary of incorporation on September 25, and are commemorating it with a book, Becoming the City of Citrus Heights: The History of a Unique Incorporation. The 12-year saga of fighting to become a city took residents all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court to argue their case. The e-book version of the struggle and triumph of Citrus Heights incorporation is available for free on the Citrus Heights website.
