The Unity Church of Roseville will be joining Unity Worldwide Ministries in a World Day of Prayer where people of all faiths and religions are invited to join in World Day of Prayer, Thursday, September 12, 2013 beginning at 12:00 AM and continuing through 12 midnight—a full 24 hours of prayer vigilance.
All are invited to participate from anywhere. Here in Roseville, the Unity Church, 911 Washington Blvd., Ste. 203, Roseville, CA, 916-784-1054, www.unityroseville.com, will be holding a silent prayer vigil in the church sanctuary from 12 noon until 2 pm (stay for 15 minutes or for as long as you like). There will be prayer chaplains available to pray with individuals and prayer requests can be submitted by anyone for the Church’s official prayer box. These prayer requests will be prayed on at Unity of Roseville and then sent to Silent Unity at Unity Village, Lee Summit, MO. Once there the prayer requests will receive another 30 days of prayer treatment.

How can one participate? Unity of Roseville is encouraging people throughout the community to submit prayer lists to the church directly; or visit the church on World Prayer Day to join us in prayer; or commit to 15 minutes of prayerful meditation during the day from wherever you may be. You can also visit www.Unity.org to watch streamed events. Every name submitted will be prayed for by volunteers with some volunteers coming from across the country or around the world for this sacred mission.
The event may be yearly, but each World Day of Prayer has its own special energy stemming from the creative process. Prayer never becomes rote, and it never becomes routine. It is absolutely Spirit-infused. World Prayer Day is a time for recognizing there is something greater than ourselves, knowing we have a divine purpose, realizing our consciousness of oneness, and our connectedness to all life.

Our Prayerful Commitment to You! Uniting in global affirmative prayer is the purpose for World Day of Prayer. During a 24-hour prayer vigil held in the Silent Unity Chapel, Unity employees, ministers, students and guests gather to bless thousands of names submitted to Silent Unity. We invite you to be part of this annual tradition and to share your list of names. Following World Day of Prayer, these names will be lovingly placed in the Prayer Vigil Chapel for an additional 30 days. There is Power in Prayer!
