Want to Serve Roseville? City Accepts Applications for Commissions
Recruitment for the Planning Commission, Public Utilities Commision and the Roseville Grants Advisory Commission is going on now.

Interested in having a say in local government? The City of Roseville is currently accepting applications for three commissions: Planning, Public Utilities and Roseville Grants Advisory commissions.
To apply, you must be 18 years old or older and reside within the Roseville city limits.
The various commissions serve as advisory bodies to the Roseville City Council on such actions as they deem necessary, proper or advisable for the proper administration of city functions. If appointed, your application may be copied and made available to the press and public.
The application process also includes a video interview. Members receive no compensation for their time, although they may attend training workshops or seminars at city expense.
The deadline for submitting applications is 5 p.m. Friday, June 1 to the City Clerk’s office. The commissioner appointments are scheduled to be made at the Council meeting of Wednesday, July 18.

Planning Commission:

The seven-member planning commission undertakes long-range planning for development that includes preparation and maintenance of the general, specific and area plans, as well as reviewing Environmental Impact Reports and capital improvement programs. Short-range planning efforts include zoning matters dealing with land use changes, rezones, subdivision and parceling of land, special use permits and variances.
The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 311 Vernon St.
Public Utilities Commission:
The seven-member commission studies and advises the City Council on cable television franchises and all utility issues related to city-owned utilities (electric, water, sewer, and solid waste). Issues include planning, rates, public information, complaints about rates or operations, and activities of utility joint powers agencies.
The Public Utilities Commission meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 311 Vernon St.
Roseville Grants Advisory Commission:
The Roseville Grants Advisory Commission is composed of seven members appointed by the Roseville City Council for overlapping four-year terms.
The commission meets the second Tuesday of every month and annual reviews all proposals and grant applications for Citizens Benefit Fund, R.E.A.C.H. Fund and Roseville Automall Community Fund. The annual funding period is January through May and commission's funding recommendations are forwarded to the City Council for final approval in June.
