Fitness at the Fountains

It’s all about fitness at the Friday. The Sacramento Kings will host a Fitness Timeout from 6:30-7:30 p.m. where Sacramento Kings Dance Team members and the Kings Breakers will be featured in this event that will teach kids ways to be fit through fun fitness.

Once you’ve had your fill of fitness tips, stay a while for First Fridays until 10 p.m. where there will be face painting, balloon twisting and games for kids, a car show and a beer and wine garden.

Library Re-opening Celebration

Saturday marks the . Budget cuts left the library with slashed weekend hours, but now the doors are back open. A celebration will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday with free children’s crafts and storytimes. Rose Cooper, author of children’s book “Gossip from the Girls’ Room: A Blogtastic! Novel,” will speak at 1 p.m.  S.G. Browne, author of “Breathers: A Zombie's Lament and Fated,” will speak at 2 p.m.

Back to School Fashion Show

The first day of school is just around the corner for Roseville students and that means back to school shopping. For the first look at some of the fall fashion trends, check out the Back to School Fashion Show at the Saturday. The show starts runs from 3-5 p.m. and will feature retailers from , BCBG, Express, Hugo Boss and more. It’s also a chance to win prizes from some retailers. 

Outta the Blue Poetry

Placer County poets will take the stage at the second 2011 Outta the Blue Poetry Series at the . The series is set for 4-6 p.m. Saturday and will feature published poets William O'Daly and Patricia Reilly.
