Which Dental Problems Can be Corrected by Invisalign?

Invisalign can be used to correct various types of dental problems.

Invisalign can correct virtually all of the bite irregularities that traditional metal braces can. This is thanks to Invisalign engineers, who have increased the flexibility of this system considerably since it was introduced. As a result, most adult patients with orthodontic problems can benefit from Invisalign.

Bite Irregularities Addressed by Invisalign

Invisalign has been used to straighten crooked teeth, move poorly positioned teeth, and help close gaps between improperly spaced teeth. Overbite, underbite, and crossbite can also usually be corrected with Invisalign depending on severity. However, issues involving the fit between top and bottom teeth cannot be corrected with Invisalign.

How Invisalign Works

Invisalign treatment begins with an exam by our orthodontist in Rocklin to determine goals. Our orthodontist provides a set of clear plastic aligners that patients wear over their teeth for at least 22 hours every day. As treatment progresses, patients receive new aligners at regular appointments.

Although Invisalign is not necessarily a solution for all types of bite irregularities, it can successfully address a vast majority of them. In some cases, our orthodontist may recommend another treatment instead of or alongside Invisalign. Patients who want to learn more can schedule a consultation with our expert in Invisalign in Rocklin.
