- If you think the Sacramento metro area has changed in the last two years, you're not imagining things: Massive migration to and from Northern California has impacted housing prices, politics, and other facets of daily life for citizens here in Roseville and the surrounding areas. During the pandemic, residents of the Bay Area left in droves and moved inland to the more affordable Central Valley. According to experts, higher-income households have a likelihood of moving to places like Roseville or Folsom, while lower-income households are moving to places like Stockton, Los Banos, Patterson. Read the full story on ABC 10 to learn more about recent migration patterns and their impact on Northern California. (ABC 10)
- Wet spring weather in the Roseville area this month have helped improve water levels in nearby Folsom Lake. In fact, the lake’s capacity is currently at 72 percent, the highest since July 2020. However, drought conditions are still an issue here in Northern California. According to meteorologist and forecaster Jim Mathews with the National Weather Service, "we are about 75 percent of where we should be for the water year." Get the latest reservoir levels here.
