  1. Bike Fest is just two weeks away! Bring your kids out and help them learn how to be safe on a bike. Enjoy bike obstacle courses, riding demonstrations, helmet fittings, and free bicycle safety checks from local bike shops. They might even win a bike! If any of these items is interesting to you, Tuesday’s meeting is scheduled at 9 a.m. The public is invited to attend at the County Administrative Center, 175 Fulweiler Ave. in Auburn, or online at placer.ca.gov/boslive. 4. Would you like it if all of those Folsom folks who come to Skate Town just stayed home and let you have the rink to yourselves, Roseville? Well, that may soon be a reality. There is a group of sports venue leaders who have announced a vision for a sports complex in Folsom that includes an ice rink. It will also have a turf field and 2,500-seat arena. The complex would cover 120,000 square feet. It has been dubbed "The Folsom Ranch Project." "Collectively, our team has over 100 years of sports, entertainment and recreation experience. Members of our team have played leading roles in the opening of Raley Field...Golden 1 Center, as well as co-founding Sacramento Republic FC," a statement posted by the group on Thursday read.
