Morning, Sacramento! Here's everything you need to know to get this Saturday started off right.
First, today's weather:

Here are the top five stories today in Sacramento:
- Thousands of Sacramento Municipal Utility District customers were without power Thursday night. The outages affected about 16,000 people in Sacramento County, south of Gerber Road and between Bradshaw and Elk Grove Florin Roads, the SMUD outage maps showed. It is unknown what caused the outages, but power was restored by Friday morning. (KCRA3)
- Prosecutors announced Thursday that a jury this week found a man guilty of second-degree murder for the May 2021 killing of 23-year-old Brenda Jimenez and the attempted murder of 26-year-old Kenneth Robinson Jr., in West Sacramento. Jose Tellez Flores, 20, faces up to 24 years behind bars for both crimes and is scheduled to be sentenced on March 1. (CBS Sacramento)
- Sacramento police asked for the public's help on Thursday in finding a missing 80-year-old man. Police said in a social media post Thursday that William Montgomery was last seen around 2:00 p.m. on Jan. 6 in the area of Grandstaff Drive and Cherrywood Circle. Thankfully, police are now reporting that William Montgomery and his dog Maggie were found safe. (ABC10)
- Two teenagers were hurt after a shooting in Sacramento County. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said the shooting happened at Summer Sky Drive and Bastien Court, an area not far from Florin High School. A spokesperson for the sheriff's office said the teens had non-life-threatening injuries to the lower body and were taken to the hospital. The shooting caused a temporary lockdown at the nearby school, according to the Elk Grove Union School District. No suspect information has been released. The investigation is ongoing, but Capt. Henry said there is nothing that indicates a threat to the neighborhood at this time. (ABC10)
- Crews battled a house fire n the Arden Oaks neighborhood on Arden Creek Road, early Friday morning, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District. Sac Metro Fire told KCRA 3 the fire was at a large house, but it did not threaten other homes. No injuries were reported as there was no one home at the time of the fire, officials said. (KCRA3)
