La Familia Counseling Center to Host Career Fair in Sacramento

Focusing on Advancement Opportunities for Women and English Learners

La Familia Counseling Center is thrilled to announce the upcoming Career Fair, aimed at connecting job seekers in the Greater Sacramento region with potential employers eager to provide work advancement opportunities. The event will occur on July 14th, 2023, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Maple Neighborhood Center at 3301 37th Ave in Sacramento.

The Greater Sacramento area has experienced a positive job trajectory, surpassing the statewide trend. With the government sector leading the way, the region has witnessed a robust 3.7% employment growth compared to pre-pandemic levels, 2 percentage points higher than the statewide average. Health, professional services, transportation, and warehousing sectors have significantly contributed to this job expansion. However, despite the abundance of job openings, specific industries like manufacturing, hospitality, and administrative services face a significant challenge - fewer applicants. This has created a mismatch between the available opportunities and the pool of qualified candidates.

The career fair welcomes individuals from all backgrounds, emphasizing promoting work advancement for women and English learners. The event will showcase job opportunities in various industries, such as manufacturing, health, administrative, professional services, and warehousing.
