Late on your bills due to COVID? La Familia Can Help!

Deadline to apply is just days away

La Familia Counseling Center (La Familia) is providing financial assistance for those who have been unable to pay for rent or utilities because of COVID-19. The COVID-19 Financial Assistance Program is available to residents of Sacramento County who have tested positive for the virus in the past six months.

“We know the pandemic continues to have an impact on our community - especially those that cannot work remotely,” said Rachel Rios, La Familia’s Executive Director. “This program is designed to take some of the financial strain off those individuals and families while they recover and get back on their feet.”

Those who are interested in receiving assistance have until the end of October to apply. Applying is simple and quick. Applications take up to 7 - 14 days for approval or denial and the funds will go directly to the landlord or utility company.
