SACRAMENTO, CA — When Vang Cha won $500 playing a $30 California 200X Scratchers game, he decided to test his luck, and it turned out to be pretty darn good.

Cha used his winnings to purchase 30 of the $10 Xtreme Multiplier Scratchers at Mike’s Liquors in Sacramento. His investment paid off big time, with a $1 million win.

“I decided to just go all in and buy an entire book of the ten-dollar games,” he said in a news release from the California Lottery. “I went to work and scratched probably about 20 of them, went home and scratched the rest.”
