Merryhill Students Donate 100 School Supply Items to Children in Need

Students held a donation drive to collect a variety of school supplies

Students at Merryhill Preschool on Danbrook Drive in Natomas recently donated more than 100 school supply items to the Sacramento Children’s Home, a local organization that promotes child safety, positive parenting, education, and mental health through a variety of programs. Students held a donation drive to collect the school supply items, including binders, markers, notebooks, pencils and more, which will benefit children supported by the charitable organization.

Merryhill Preschool instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Its signature Links to Learning preschool curriculum emphasizes social-emotional learning as a stepping stone for kindergarten and beyond. Teachers work with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
