SACRAMENTO, CA — From lions and lemurs to flamingos and cheetahs, the Sacramento Zoo is home to nearly 400 native, rare and endangered animals.
The 14 acre zoo is in William Land Park. Open since 1927, it has been educating and wowing generations of Sacramento residents.
The Sacramento Zoo is accredited by the American Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Through the association, the zoo participates in efforts to save endangered and threatened species. See a full list of the zoo's animals.
