Students at Merryhill Preschools Donate More Than 120 Toys to Children

Students held a toy drive to benefit Toys for Tots ahead of the holiday season

Students at Merryhill Preschools in Rocklin and Roseville recently collected more than 120 toys to benefit Toys for Tots, a gift drive run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Students from the two schools worked together to collect the items, and at the close of the drive, a representative from the organization stopped by the schools to pick up the donations. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others in the community, especially during the holiday season.

Toys for Tots, a 70-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to less fortunate children during each holiday season. The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by Marines and volunteers offer these children recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime.
