Worst BBQ Ever: Truck Carrying 50K Pounds Of Meat Catches Fire, Blocking CA Freeway

The semitrailer hit a vehicle, jackknifed and caught fire, according to reports.

SACRAMENTO — A semitrailer carrying 50,000 pounds of packaged meat caught fire after a crash Sunday in Sacramento, according to reports.

The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m., FOX 40 reported, when the semi hit a vehicle and then jackknifed on a ramp connecting southbound Interstate 80 to westbound Highway 50, according to KCRA 3.

At one point, the truck’s rear was hanging over the railing, FOX 40 reported, but it was eventually moved back to the road. No one was hurt, according to KCRA 3, which reported that closures due to the crash lasted for hours.
