$1.5 Million-Plus Powerball Ticket Sold In San Diego County

The estimated jackpot is $203 million for Monday's drawing.

ESCONDIDO, CA — One lucky lottery player in San Diego County has a Powerball ticket worth more than $1.5 million.

A Powerball ticket with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, was purchased at a gas station in Escondido, the California Lottery announced. The ticket worth $1,532,761 was sold at Varso Gas at 2306 S. Escondido Blvd.

The numbers drawn Saturday were 27, 28, 36, 48, 49 and the Powerball number was 21. The estimated jackpot was $190 million.

Drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The estimated jackpot is $203 million for Monday's drawing.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in 292.2 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game. Powerball is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
