1 Dead, 3 Injured In Logan Heights House Fire
One person died and three others were hospitalized in a Logan Heights house fire, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said.
SAN DIEGO — One person died and three others were hospitalized Sunday in a Logan Heights house fire, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said.
A fire at a home in the 3100 block of Clay Avenue with people trapped inside was reported at 4:24 a.m.
"Due to the intense fire conditions, it took a little while for us to get it knocked down and get in there and get those victims out," SDFD Battalion Chief Steve Salaz told NBC7.

One victim was found dead at the scene, according to a SDFD incident report. Three victims were taken to UC San Diego Regional Burn Center.
The fire was knocked down at around 4:52 a.m. The incident was closed at 10:45 a.m..

Clay Avenue was closed to traffic in the morning while arson investigators looked into the cause of the fire.
