A patron at Border X Brewery was injured by a stray bullet Friday as a suspect allegedly shot his nephew in a neighboring apartment.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A San Diego man is accused of killing his nephew in a Friday shooting that also wounded a bystander at a popular San Diego restaurant.
San Diego police say they responded to reports of a shooting on the 2100 block of Logan Avenue, in the Barrio Logan neighborhood, on Friday at around 7:40 p.m. A 36-year-old patron at the Border X Brewing restaurant was found struck in the head by a stray bullet that passed through the wall from a neighboring apartment, officers said. The man, whose name is not being released at this time, was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers say they found a man down in a neighboring apartment on the 900 block of Sampson Street. They found a man walking around in the apartment, and say that he refused to cooperate with the investigation and would only speak to them through a window. Officers say that they observed him with a firearm, and heard at least one gunshot from inside the apartment during negotiations.
