1 Person Killed In Poway Crash
The roadway was shut down for the investigation and cleanup.

POWA, CA — A person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on state Route 67 in Poway, authorities said Sunday.
The crash was reported at 11:32 p.m. Saturday on SR-67 where Rio Maria Road and Scripps Poway Parkway meet, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Witnesses said an SUV and sedan collided, and that the driver of one of the vehicles may have fled the scene on foot, the CHP said.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene and it appeared at least one person was taken to a hospital by ambulance, according to the CHP's online log.
The roadway was shut down into Sunday morning for the investigation and cleanup.

One person was arrested at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, the CHP stated. It was unclear if that person was the motorist who had possibly fled.
