10 Residents Displaced After Apartment Building Fire In Nestor

SAN DIEGO, CA — A fire damaged an apartment building in the Nestor neighborhood Saturday, but no injuries were reported.
San Diego Fire-Rescue Department crews responded just before 7 a.m. to reports of a structure fire at a four-unit apartment building in the 2000 block of Iris Avenue.
No one was home in the unit where the fire started, fire officials said, but the blaze heavily damaged the building. Fire officials said 10 residents overall were displaced due to the fire damage.

The cause of the fire was unknown, but arson is not suspected.
