129 Marriage Licenses Issued On Valentine's Day In San Diego County
In 2014, the San Diego County Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk Office set a county record, issuing 266 licenses and performing 242 ceremonies.
SAN DIEGO, CA — Dozens of couples celebrated Valentine's Day by exchanging vows Wednesday in San Diego County.
The San Diego County Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk Office issued 129 marriage licenses and performed 101 wedding ceremonies across its locations throughout the county.
Valentine's Day is traditionally one of the most sought-after wedding days for the ARCC offices throughout the county. In 2014, the office set a county record, issuing 266 licenses and performing 242 ceremonies.

Some couples got a special wedding day surprise this year. ARCC partnered with the Larry Himmel Neighborhood Foundation to cover the cost of the first 20 weddings at the San Diego County Administration Center.
On average, the office issues nearly 25,000 marriage licenses and performs more than 11,000 weddings each year. Nearly half of customers who request a marriage license also hold their wedding ceremonies at the ARCC's office.
