$1M Powerball Ticket Sold In San Diego County

SAN DIEGO, CA — One lucky lottery player in San Diego County has a Powerball ticket worth more than $1 million.

A Powerball ticket with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, was sold at a supermarket store in the San Diego area, the California Lottery announced. The ticket worth $1,036,009 was purchased at the Vons at 4404 Bonita Road in Bonita.

While there were no tickets sold with all six numbers, there were three other tickets sold with five numbers in the latest drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery. The other $1 million tickets were sold in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.

Drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The estimated jackpot is $262 million for Saturday's drawing.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in about 293 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game. Powerball is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
