2 Elderly Pedestrians Seriously Injured In San Diego Crosswalk Crash
Both pedestrians were taken by ambulance to a hospital.
SAN DIEGO, CA — Two pedestrians were seriously injured early Thursday when they were struck by a pickup truck while crossing the street in a marked crosswalk in San Diego, authorities said.
A 74-year-old woman driving a 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning pickup truck struck a 76-year-old woman and a 77-year-old man as they were crossing Hispano Drive in the Rancho Bernardo neighborhood, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The woman suffered multiple leg fractures, and the man suffered a skull fracture and hematoma to back of his head. Both pedestrians were taken by ambulance to a hospital. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said.

The crash remained under investigation. DUI was not considered a factor.
