2 Hospitalized With Burn Injuries In Serra Mesa House Fire
Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to nearby homes.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Two people received burn injuries and three other adults were displaced from a house fire Wednesday in Serra Mesa.
The blaze was reported at 4:37 a.m. Wednesday and firefighting crews arrived to the single-story home in the 2900 block of Greyling Drive at 4:42 a.m., according to a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department incident log.
Firefighters arrived at the residence to find light smoke showing.

At 4:46 a.m. crews reported hearing an explosion inside the home. Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to nearby homes.
Two victims suffering from burn injuries were rushed to UCSD Medical Center. Their condition was not immediately known. Three other adults were displaced from the fire and assisted by the Red Cross.

Metro Arson Strike Team members were investigating the cause of the fire.
