2 Injured In Collision In San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 66-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were injured in a head-on collision Monday in the San Pasqual neighborhood of San Diego.

San Diego Police Department officers were called at approximately 2:44 p.m. to the 16100 block of San Pasqual Valley Road where they learned the man, who was driving a Toyota 4Runner west on San Pasqual Valley Road, tried to make a left turn onto Old Milky Way Drive and collided head on with a Toyota Corolla driven east on San Pasqual Valley Road by the woman, said Officer Robert Buttle.

The woman suffered an open compound fracture to her right wrist and the man suffered an abrasion from the seatbelt.

Buttle said police believe alcohol or drugs were not factors in the collision.

Officers from the department's Traffic Division are investigating the collision and anyone with information related to it was asked to call 858-495-7800 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
