2 Marines Burned In MCAS Miramar Fire
Both Marines were taken to the UC San Diego Regional Burn Center to be treated. (BREAKING)

SAN DIEGO, CA – Two Marines were severely burned Sunday night in a fire at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.
According to MCAS officials, a ground flash fire occurred shortly before 10:20 p.m. injuring two Marines from Texas-based reserve unit Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 112. The Marines had been conducting routine maintenance work on a F/A-18 Hornet jet when the fire ignited.
Both Marines were taken to the UC San Diego Regional Burn Center to be treated, according to MCAS officials. The incident is under investigation.
