3 Juvenile Great White Sharks Spotted Off Black's Beach In San Diego
The sharks were about 6, 8 and 9 feet in length and were feeding on the carcass of a sea lion.
SAN DIEGO, CA — Three juvenile great white sharks were spotted Friday off the coast of Black's Beach in San Diego.
Lifeguards patrolling in a boat saw the sharks around 12:15 p.m. about 100 yards from shore, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. The sharks were about 6, 8 and 9 feet in length and were feeding on the carcass of a sea lion.
Though the sharks were not exhibiting aggressive behaviors, officials posted signs along a two-mile stretch of the beach as a precaution, according to the department.

"While these sharks were not exhibiting any aggressive behavior toward humans at the time of the sighting, lifeguards recommend exercising caution," said Mónica Muñoz, spokesperson for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
