The crashes happened in the Scripps Ranch and Grantville neighborhoods.

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Three people were severely injured in two separate crashes in the Scripps Ranch and Grantville neighborhoods, a police officer said today.
In the first of the collisions Sunday evening, a 31-year-old suspected drunken driver's Toyota Corolla swerved into oncoming traffic on Pomerado Road near Spring Canyon Road and crashed into a 1956 Porsche shortly before 5:30 p.m., San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said.
The 49-year-old man and 43-year-old woman in the Porsche both suffered life-threatening injuries, Delimitros said. The Toyota's driver sustained only minor injuries.

About 45 minutes later, a 23-year-old motorcyclist bottomed out while exiting a parking lot off Twain Avenue near Mission Gorge Road, which caused the Honda motorcycle's fender to get stuck in the tire, Delimitros said.
The rider suffered an open fracture to his leg in the crash, Delimitros said.
