3 Killed, 57 Arrested During CHP Enforcement In San Diego County
A total of 47 people died in crashes in California during the Christmas holiday enforcement period, including three in San Diego County.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – Three fatalities and nearly five dozen DUI arrests were recorded in San Diego County during the California Highway Patrol's annual Christmas holiday crackdown, the agency reported.
CHP officers arrested 57 people in the county on suspicion of driving while impaired during its Christmas holiday enforcement period between 6 p.m. Friday and 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, according to the CHP. There were 56 DUI arrests in the area at the same time last year.
Across the state, CHP officers arrested 1,166 people for suspected DUI violations from Friday night through late Christmas night. There were 917 arrests statewide in 2017.
