CHULA VISTA, CA — A nearly 100-acre brush fire burning east of Chula Vista was 80% contained Monday.
The fire was first reported about 11:25 a.m. Sunday near the border with Mexico, south of the Cleveland National Forest, according to Cal Fire San Diego.
The fire, which had grown to about 98 acres by Monday evening, was 80% contained by about 7:40 p.m., Cal Fire reported.
