Allegiant Air To Offer Provo, Utah, Route From San Diego Airport
Allegiant now offers nonstop service to 12 destinations — the third most routes from San Diego International Airport.
SAN DIEGO, CA — Allegiant Air will add nonstop service between San Diego and Provo, Utah, beginning Aug. 18, the airline announced Tuesday.
Flights will operate on Thursdays and Sundays each week between Provo Municipal Airport and San Diego International Airport. Provo is about 45 miles south of Salt Lake City.
"We welcome this new route between our two cities on Allegiant Air," said Kimberly Becker, president and CEO of San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, which owns and operates San Diego International Airport.

"For Southern California travelers looking for an alternative to the greater Salt Lake City area, Provo serves as a gateway to many of the state's key attractions and recreation," she said. "We appreciate Allegiant Air's continued investment and new route at SAN."
With the addition of the Provo route, Allegiant now offers nonstop service to 12 destinations — the third most routes from San Diego International Airport. Earlier this year, Allegiant began year-round nonstop service to Austin, Texas, and seasonal nonstop service to Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
