Amber Alert Lifted After Mother Turns Self In, Sons Found Safe In Lancaster
Laria Walker-Anderson, 28, and her three sons ages 9, 8 and 6, were sought in an Amber Alert issued Sunday in Southern California.

Authorities lifted an Amber Alert late Sunday for three brothers from New Mexico after the boys and their mother were found safe in California. The mother, who allegedly abducted her sons from Albuquerque, surrendered at the Lancaster station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on Sunday night, after the vehicle she was driving was found hours earlier in La Verne, according to the La Verne Police Department.
The woman, 28-year-old Laria Walker-Anderson, was suspected of abducting her sons and driving them from Arizona to Southern California, where she has family, authorities said. The California Highway Patrol issued an amber alert earlier in the day on behalf of the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department in New Mexico for Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties.

Walker-Anderson has full custody of Lloyd Wyatt, 9, Lakai Wyatt, 8, and Lexxington Wyatt, 6. However, officials from the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department were concerned for the children's safety after she allegedly made threats of possible self-harm and harm against the children during a fight with their father early Sunday morning, according to sheriff's officials.

Officials with the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department had said the boys could be in imminent danger and that the mother was believed to have a loaded handgun inside the car. It’s unclear if the weapon was recovered when the silver Kia Spectra was found in La Verne.
Walker-Anderson was not facing criminal charges, according to sheriff's officials. Authorities issued the Amber Alert to make sure the mother and her children were safe.
