SAN DIEGO, CA — Mission Fed ArtWalk has announced eight featured artists for its 42nd annual event, scheduled for April 25-26 in San Diego's Little Italy.

The two-day festival, described as the largest and longest-running fine art event in Southern California, will showcase more than 250 exhibitors and a wide range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, glasswork, photography and jewelry. Organizers expect about 100,000 visitors from across the country.

This year's featured artists include mixed media artist Adolfo Girala, glass artist Samson Low, ceramic artists Jeffrey Siegal and Monica Prado, and painters Dave Fox, Jennifer Peart, Karla Preciado, and Sangeetha Gopalakrishnan.

The featured artists were selected from the larger pool of exhibitors and will be highlighted in event promotions, according to organizers.

"With so much artistic talent and expression at the festival, choosing just a few artists was not an easy task," said Curt Brooker, the show director. "Our selection committee had the difficult task of finding just eight standout artists."

In addition, San Diego Visual Arts Network partnered with the festival to award its annual "The Business of Art Scholarship" to emerging artist Sierra Roberson.

The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 25 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 26 along India Street in downtown San Diego. Admission is free.
