SAN DIEGO, CA — The Rosin Box Project will present "Incubator Lab: The Making, Magnified," a contemporary ballet program offering audiences a behind-the-scenes look at choreography in development.
The program is the latest of the San Diego-based company's 2026 season, "Parallax: When Perspective Becomes Movement." It will feature three new contemporary ballet works in development by choreographers Bethany Green, Natasha Rader and Alexandra Schooling, with dancers actively shaping and revising choreography in real time on stage.
"At the core of what we do is creating new work, and majority of the artists' time is spent in the creation process," Artistic Director Carly Topazio said in a statement. "Incubator Lab pulls back the curtain on that process and invites audiences into the room while it's happening, not just after it's complete."
The performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. May 29-31 at the Light Box Theater at Liberty Station in San Diego. Tickets costs $40-$50, and are available through The Rosin Box Project's website.
Virtual streaming will be available June 5 with replay access through June 12. Access costs $25.
Open rehearsals will also take place at 7 p.m. May 26-28. Admission costs $25.
