A Warner Springs woman called the sheriff's office Sunday morning to report that her husband was last seen Saturday at about 4:40 p.m., according SDSO Lt. David Perkins, who said deputies launched a helicopter as part of the search and also tried getting the husband's cell phone location.

Shortly after 9 a.m. Sunday, the unidentified woman located her husband's truck, which was overturned in a ravine about a mile and a half from home. Deputies could not reach the vehicle and called Cal Fire for help.

Once it was determined that the 43-year-old man had died, the case was turned over to the CHP Sunday afternoon as a fatal single-vehicle crash, according to Perkins.
