JAMUL, CA — A $5 side bet turned into a seven-figure payday this week for a woman at Jamul Casino Resort.
Casino officials said Sweetwater Rewards member Myrna D. won $1,097,506.50 while playing blackjack after landing the STAX Super 4 Royal Flush jackpot.
According to the casino, Myrna, who did not disclose her last name, was dealt a queen and jack of diamonds, while the dealer revealed an ace and king of diamonds to complete the royal flush combination.
The jackpot was triggered through the STAX Super 4 side bet during the blackjack game, officials said.
