SAN DIEGO, CA — A Powerball ticket worth more than half a million dollars was sold to a lucky lottery player in San Diego.
A Powerball ticket with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, was purchased at a gas station in San Diego, the California Lottery announced. The ticket worth $559,925 was sold at Chevron at 3359 University Ave.
The numbers drawn Saturday were 16, 32, 55, 59, 66 and the Powerball number was 3. The estimated jackpot was $212 million.
Drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The estimated jackpot is $225 million for Monday's drawing.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in 292.2 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game. Powerball is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
