SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego County Credit Union will host blood drives at seven San Diego County branches and offices as local hospitals face seasonal blood shortages.
The drives, held in partnership with the San Diego Blood Bank, are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 1.
Organizers said blood supplies are typically low during the summer. One pint of donated blood can help save up to three lives.
The San Diego County locations are:
"Community blood donations play a vital role in helping local hospitals care for patients in need," SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Campbell said in a statement. "We're proud to continue our longstanding partnership with the San Diego Blood Bank and encourage those who are able to donate."
SDCCU has partnered with the San Diego Blood Bank for more than 20 years. Residents interested in donating can register through the San Diego Blood Bank.
