ESCONDIDO, CA — San Diego Zoo Safari Park is bringing back its Stroller Strides fitness classes this summer for parents with young children after a successful debut last year.
The classes, held in partnership with FIT4MOM, begin at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, June 25, and will be held every other Thursday through the end of August.
Last year was the first time the park partnered with FIT4MOM North County Inland, Safari Park spokesperson Claire Sweeney told Patch.
"We launched the classes last summer during our early summer hours and it was a hit," Sweeney said. "We decided to continue the summer classes again this year."
Participants will take part in cardio workouts throughout the Safari Park and conclude each session with a wildlife presentation.
The classes take advantage of the park's early opening hours and are designed for parents exercising with children in strollers.
Participation requires a Safari Park membership or admission ticket, with classes included as part of the FIT4MOM membership. First-time participants will receive their initial FIT4MOM class for free, excluding Safari Park admission.
