SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities Monday publicly identified a woman whose lifeless body was found last week in the sea off the coast of Ocean Beach.
Summer Nash, 34, was spotted in the water near the western terminus of Newport Avenue on Thursday afternoon, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office. Lifeguards pulled her to shore, where she was pronounced dead shortly before 3:30 p.m., the agency reported.
A ruling on the cause of Nash's death was on hold pending completion of postmortem examinations.
