Man Stabbed 4 Times Outside San Diego Bar; Suspect Arrested

Police said the attacker stabbed the man twice in the chest and twice in the arm.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 33-year-old man was stabbed four times outside a bar in an unprovoked attack in San Diego's Jamacha Lomita neighborhood, authorities said Tuesday.

The victim was smoking outside the business when a 35-year-old man approached him, threatened to kill him and pulled a knife at around 10 p.m. Monday in the 900 block of Cardiff Street, according to the San Diego Police Department.

Police said the attacker stabbed the man twice in the chest and twice in the arm. It was unclear what prompted the stabbing.

Officers arrested the suspect at the scene. The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Their names have not yet been released.

Detectives were investigating. Anyone with information was urged to call the SDPD or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
