Missing 74-Year-Old Man May Be Traveling Through San Diego County, CHP Says

A Silver Alert is active in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and San Diego counties.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A Silver Alert for a missing 74-year-old Los Angeles County man has been extended to San Diego County as authorities search for a driver who has been missing since Friday.

The California Highway Patrol issued the alert Monday on behalf of the Baldwin Park Police Department for Francisco Martinez, who was last seen around 1 p.m. Friday near Ballentine Place and Baldwin Park Boulevard in Baldwin Park.

Martinez was described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and 185 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black shorts and no shirt.

Authorities believe Martinez is driving a white 2007 Nissan Versa with California license plate 6VYV415.

A Silver Alert is issued to help locate missing people who are elderly, developmentally or cognitively impaired, and believed to be at risk. The Silver Alert is active in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and San Diego counties.

Anyone who sees Martinez or his vehicle was urged to call 911.
