Campo Fire: See Thorn Fire Perimeter, Evacuation Map

CAMPO, CA — A brush fire sparked Wednesday in Campo, triggering evacuation orders and warnings.

The blaze, called the Thorn Fire, broke out Wednesday afternoon near Buckthorn Trail and Clover Trail. As of 6:32 p.m., the fire had grown to 699 acres and remained 0% contained, according to Cal Fire.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Office issued evacuation orders for zones SDC-2174, SDC-2175, SDC-2176, SDC-2331, SDC-2332, SDC-2333, SDC-2334, SDC-2241, SDC-2242, SDC-2243 and SDC-2244. Evacuation warnings were issued for zones SDC-2117, SDC-2177, SDC-2245, SDC-2335, SDC-2408 and SDC-2410.

A temporary evacuation point was established at Golden Acorn Casino at 1800 Golden Acorn Way in Campo.
