ESCONDIDO, CA — The Children's Museum of Discovery will host its annual Science & Engineering Night on Saturday, July 18, offering families an evening of hands-on activities focused on science, technology, reading, engineering, art and math.
The event will take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Escondido museum and will feature more than 10 interactive activities for children ages 4 to 10.
Activities will include robotics and coding with the League of Amazing Programmers, automotive mechanics with Girly Garage, science and engineering demonstrations, and STEM-themed activities such as potion mixing, coding spells and optical illusions with the LKW STEM Foundation.
"At the museum, we pride ourselves on creating authentic hands-on learning experiences that spark a love of learning," said Christina Piranio, CEO of the Children's Museum of Discovery.
"Through events such as Science & Engineering Night, we're providing families with opportunities to build foundational skills in STEM education while fostering a natural wonder about all things, from tinkering a catapult to electrical circuits!"
Registration is required. Tickets cost $17 for museum members and $20 for nonmembers. Discounts are available for military and veteran families and families receiving EBT, WIC or SNAP benefits.
