SAN DIEGO, CA — SeaWorld San Diego will debut a new haunted house based on the 1997 horror film "I Know What You Did Last Summer" when its Howl-O-Scream event returns this Halloween season.
The attraction, titled "I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch," will also open the same day at SeaWorld Orlando and SeaWorld San Antonio. It marks the first time the film franchise has been adapted as a haunted house at a major Halloween event, according to the theme park.
The new attraction recreates scenes from the original movie, following a group of friends whose attempt to conceal a deadly accident draws the attention of the Fisherman, the film's masked killer.
The haunted house is part of this year's Howl-O-Scream lineup, which includes six haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment, nighttime access to rides, and themed bars and hidden speakeasies.
Howl-O-Scream returns Sept. 11 and will run on select nights through Oct. 31.
