SAN DIEGO, CA — The San Diego Police Department's Gang Unit was investigating a shooting this weekend in Nestor that left two victims with non-life threatening injuries, according to authorities.
Southern Division officers responded to a radio call at about 10:20 p.m. Friday regarding a discharging firearm in the area of 1510 Green Bay St. Officers found a 22-year-old victim sitting in a parked vehicle about a block away at 2000 Ilex Ave, SDPD said in a statement.
"A second, 43-year-old victim was located in a vehicle in a gas station parking lot at 800 Palomar Street in Chula Vista," police said. "The second victim had been en route to a local hospital when officers located him. Both victims and their companions refused to cooperate with officers."
No additional details of the incident or suspect descriptions were provided. Both victims were transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where they were treated for non-life threatening gunshot wounds, SDPD said.
The SDPD Street Gang Unit is handling the investigation. No arrests have been made.
